8. Monitor Technician

In order to work as a monitor technician, that ranked 8th in our list of best paying summer jobs for nursing students, you don’t need to have certain knowledge; you just need to be very patient and highly accountable and devoted, since this is a very responsible and demanding job. Basically, everything you need to do is to watch monitors, and follow the changes that may show that there are some problems with patients, so you may immediately call someone who is responsible for them. In case something happens, you immediately call the nurse or a doctor, and you serve as the main means of communication between them and the patients. Being a monitor technician will require basic literacy when it comes to hospital monitors, but that is something that can be easily learned.
