When most people think of part-time jobs, they think of bad hours, bad pay, and no benefits, but when you take a look at the 10 best part-time jobs with tuition or travel benefits you’ll see the latter may not be true at all.
My life would have been a lot easier had I gotten a job in high school and college that paid for my tuition. I was fortunate enough to not have any student loans because of savings and scholarships, but it definitely would have been amazing to be able to keep the savings in the account and have a little extra help getting me through. I think it’s great that companies are now offering plans like this to encourage people to get college degrees. I don’t think it’s for everyone since college is hard and not always necessary, but for people who have always wanted to go but didn’t think it was financially possible, this is something incredibly positive.
College is expensive. Even if you opt for a less expensive alternative, you’re still put out thousands of dollars. It’s difficult enough to throw a job on top of studies, so when a job actually encourages you to go to school and financially supports you, I can imagine it alleviates a lot of the pressure. I used to have to work 30-hour weeks on top of my 15-hour class schedule in order to be able to pay for basic life necessities.
It’d be even cooler to have gotten to travel with my job. Granted, I don’t know where I would have found the time while in school, but during the summer I would have been able to go on a ton of cool trips.
To compile this list of best part-time jobs with tuition or travel benefits I checked out several online sources, like All You, Next Avenue, PT Money, and WiseBread. The companies that made the list are the ones with the most or best benefits. And we also have another interesting article for you – Best Part-Time Jobs with Medical Benefits. This list, however, primarily covers education and traveling.
