The potential matches that pop up on Hinge are basically pulled from the profile of your Facebook friends. The idea behind Hinge is that any potential match that you discover is not a total stranger. In a city as big as New York, this idea works pretty well. Unfortunately, Hinge is only accessible on Apple devices for now.
