Pocket Pond 2 is another app on our list of best free apps for special education teachers that hasn’t been updated in years, but that’s ok because it still works just fine for our purpose – calming down those in a state of sensory overstimulation. It looks like a real pond where you get to touch the fish swimming around you. You can add more koi fish, frogs, turtles, hummingbirds, dragonflies and crabs, enable relaxing sounds and so on. You can even fish in the pond if you want. It doesn’t even need an Internet connection to work, so it’s great for every moment.
The app is completely free to play, with no ads, but you can purchase coins to get more fish and so on. Teachers for kids with special needs can use this tool when they notice their students having a hard time in class and look like they need a short time out.
