Switzerland is an expensive place, and we all know that. Then again, any backpacker knows that a country’s safety and happiness are priceless. Add to that the many sights to see and places to explore in the country, and you know you can never go wrong with Switzerland. Those facts are more than enough to prove that indeed, this country is part of the 10 best countries to backpack alone. Swiss people are second of the happiest on earth, and they are known to be very welcoming and friendly. There are lots of things to do, including skiing, wine tasting, lake exploring through pedaling, and visiting museums. Make sure you visit Lake Geneva and the Swiss National Park.
