Sure, you’ve already got Chrome, but if you’re secretly a Firefox fan it might be nice to be able to install that one too, right? Well, like most other software out there, there’s no option for Chrome OS because even with the growing market cap there still aren’t as many users as for Windows or Mac, for example. And that’s ok, to some extent since committing to getting a Chromebook pretty much means selling your soul to Google for good.
But now there’s an option to get Firefox that ranks 7th in our list of best Android apps to install on Chromebook, on your laptop too since you’ll have the Android version available. And that’s great. A little bit of competition hasn’t harmed anyone (too much), and you may sometimes need an alternative to Chrome, like when certain pages will refuse to load, and you just need a different browser to try it out on.
