6. Lifeguard
$12 per hour
Resorts without lifeguards are impossible, especially if the resorts themselves have many pools and places for swimming, besides the nearby beaches. You don’t need to be highly skilled or experienced, you just need to be brave and a good swimmer, and to be able to show it in any situation that may be dangerous or risky. However, if you want to become a professional even before you apply for the job, make sure to get a lifeguard certification, with CPR and first aid training, since that will single you out from all the other candidates. You will not just wait for something to happen in order to react, but you are expected to ensure the safety even before people start swimming, which includes removing all of the potentially dangerous things and providing enough swimming equipment to everyone. All in all, this is an interesting and exciting job, being the reason why it is on the list of 10 beach resort jobs with employee housing.
