SG Capital Management, founded by Glen Schneider and Ken Grossman in 2002, launched Cedar Street Strategies from their downtown Chicago office. In 2013, Ethan Steinberg joined the team, establishing the Teton Strategies in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Glen Schneider, co-founder of SG Capital Management, serves as President and Portfolio Manager for Cedar Street Strategies. Before founding SG Capital, he was a Vice President at Mesirow Financial Asset Management, where he managed the small-cap equity strategy, conducted fundamental research, and oversaw trading activity. From 1995 to 2000, Glen worked as an Equity Analyst for Coe Capital Management. He began his career in 1994 as an Investment Associate at Merrill Lynch. Glen holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and the CFA designation.
Ken Grossman, is also a co-founder of SG Capital Management, previously co-managed Mesirow Financial Asset Management, focusing on the small-cap equity strategy and fixed income portfolio management. He joined Mesirow in 1996 following its acquisition of HGT Advisors, an investment advisory firm he co-founded in 1983. Ken also served as a Senior Consulting Principal at A.S. Hansen, Inc. and Vice President at A.G. Becker, where he established their Consulting Group. He began his career managing the pension program at Illinois Bell Telephone Company. Ken holds a B.S. in Finance cum laude from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago.
Ethan Steinberg, who joined SG Capital in 2013, brings his expertise to Teton Strategies. Together, Glen Schneider and Ethan Steinberg have a combined 50 years of investment experience, focusing on the US capital markets and combining top-down market analysis with individual company fundamentals.
