Canada features attractions that are perfect for any type of traveler. Some options are free for the budget-conscious traveler, the families should have no problems with entertaining the kids, and couples and solo travelers will equally have excellent choices of delightful activities to choose from.

Since the weather will be perfect, you know there will be tons of outdoorsy attractions, activities, and natural vistas to take in. So get your sunscreen on, go rent a kayak, or get to hiking. If you plan well, you will maybe catch a unique festival, whether it involves cowboys or music; maybe just chilling on the beach is a perfect choice for you. 4. Vancouver, British Columbia

Being in the middle of summer means a lot of outdoor activities to enjoy. Stanley Park is an incredible urban playground for kids and adults. Have fun on the playground, bike, run, or rollerblade down the Seawall, and splash at the waterpark. When you’ve worked up an appetite, have some fresh fish at the Fish House.  Make sure to see what festival is happening in July. There could be a beach festival or a music celebration.

3. Newfoundland

How about iceberg hunting? Not exactly what you would expect to do during summer months, but what better time to do it? It won’t be freezing, so being outside trying to spot one won’t be miserable. It’s a sport to spot one really, it’s not guaranteed, but trust me when someone sees one, everyone gets the cameras out. Your chances are pretty great since this is the “iceberg capital of the world.” There are even ferries going up and down the straights so people can get their chance to spot a few.

2. The Rockies

Some truly breathtaking mountain scenery is here and the best way to get around and see it all is by horseback riding. If you’re keen on fishing, the excellent fishing lakes encompassed by towering mountains is a top notch place to cast your line. The area is remote and really brings you back to the basics, including the cowboy style meals.

1. Churchill, Manitoba

Make your journey to Hudson Bay for a once in a lifetime experience. Get your gear on and dive into the water, it’s hopefully not as cold now as it usually is, but regardless of the time, your eyes and mind will be on one thing only, the beluga whales swimming around you. These gentle giants are feeding on the plankton here so you get a magical and natural experience with these swimming buddies.
